4 kg of pure ZEOnatura bentonite (montmorillonite) in selected quality, filled in harmless food-safe PP containers.
Bentonite (montmorillonite) has a characteristic gray color and was named after the French town of Montmorillon. It has similar properties to zeolite clinoptilolite. Montmorillonite is also an ion exchanger and capable of adsorption, but also has a high swelling capacity , making it an ideal complement to our zeolite clinoptilolite.
Montmorillonite is the main component of bentonite in varying proportions (known to be 66-89%). Our bentonite (montmorillonite) is ground to <80 microns and dried to below 5% residual moisture before bottling.
A micron (also micrometer, or my after the Greek letter µ), abbreviated µm, corresponds to one millionth of a meter, i.e. one thousandth of a millimeter.
Please note:
Montmorillonite is a main component of bentonite, which is used in the food sector as a fining agent and in beverage production (wine, fruit juices) and is also approved as a food additive under the designation E 558.
